This handsome baby boy came to my studio for his newborn photo session on a chilly winter morning. I was so excited to be the one to take his first professional photos. As many times as I say this I have to say it again.
I love my job. I feel so honored to be trusted to document this time for new parents. I know all too well with my own children that the newborn stage is gone far too fast. The images I have from that time are so special to me and every time I see them I am brought back to that time in my life. When my babies were the smallest they will ever be and were seeing each other for the first time.
Learning how to be parents and how to feed and soothe babies. The long sleepless nights sometimes make those memories a little blurry. Which is why I love photographs so much.
I love photographing babies on soft natural fabrics in natural muted colors to really keep the focus on the baby and give the images a warm timeless feel.
I fill my studio with beautiful blankets, hand knit hats and wraps made from the most wonderful natural fibers by amazingly talented small business women I have become friends with over the years and love to support. I also use a lot of beautiful vintage items in my photography. Something about mixing the old with the new really speaks to me and adds character to the images. I have spent many years investing in my art and I am so happy that each year as I grow I am able to share my work with new families and continue to have so many loyal clients who come back to me year after year for family photos as well as maternity and newborn photos and milestone baby photos as their family grows.
Thank you so much to my sweet friends family and clients,
Sarah
