This sweet baby Wesley is especially near and dear to my heart. We photographed his parents wedding last year at Lucy’s Garden in Ridgefield Washington. It was so wonderful to spend their wedding day together and when I heard the news on Facebook that the couple was expecting their first baby I was overjoyed for them. When mama-to-be was early in her pregnancy with Wesley she emailed me asking about newborn photos.. even though the couple lived several hours from Vancouver Washington they wanted to make the trip over to my studio. What an absolute honor. I cannot explain how much that kind of faith in my work means to me.
I was so excited to meet this sweet bundle of newborn baby boy and spend the morning with his awesome parents. Mama brought the best heirlooms for the session too. A GORGEOUS vintage quilt hand made by Great Grandma as well as a adorable plaid handmade bunny she had made. Pieces that not only are meaningful and special to the family but times treasures that have been stored away just waiting for this moment to be brought back into the light. I love giving families images with antique heirloom pieces like this. Combining treasures from home with the lovely vintage and handmade goodies my studio is full of will add a a personal touch to your newborn images.
As we are heading into fall I am thrilled to be welcoming many more newborns and their families. If you live in the Portland Oregon, Vancouver Washington area and you are interested in having me photograph your new baby email me sarah@sarahcostaphotography.com
My newborn sessions are comfortable and relaxed and include everything you need as far as beautiful props, hats, headbands, the softest of blankets made from the most amazing organic fabrics with beautiful textures. I am a huge fan of supporting small businesses and wonderful artists when looking for sweet simple items to keep in my studio for newborn and baby sessions.
Thank you so much xxoxxo,
Sarah
