My wild things turn 6… vancouver washington child photographers

I know all parents say this but I will go ahead and be totally cliche and say that the past six years have flown by. My twins are six years old today… how is that even possible. My BABIES are six! 

We are moving and leaving this space we have called home since just before they were born. Life changes so quickly. 

I love watching the girls grow up. I remember when I was pregnant with the twins I was so scared. Actually to be perfectly honest the first couple years were kind of a blur. Having two crying babies at once was quite the challenge for me. I am one of those moms who likes to carry her kids around catering to their every whim.. and I sure learned some lessons about what it means to be a good mom and what children really do need the most.

 Turns out they really are ok if they fuss for a minute and wait while I change and feed sister. They learned cooperation and sharing right from the start. Having a built in best friend for life is also a cool added bonus. Their personalities so opposite but they compliment each other and seem to understand what the other one needs without saying a word. It is so awesome to be a mom of twins.

 The older they get the more time we have to enjoy together and play. They can read and write and draw and play games. The world is a exciting place and we love to explore it together. The older girls are loving the twins being able to engage in games and go to the movie or work on art projects together. 

I am so excited to start this new chapter on life with older kids, a home with more space to enjoy the outdoors and our family.
