Spring is here! I have been photographing sweet little babies in my studio, in their homes and in the hospital.. so I have babies on the brain!
One thing I love to do when planning newborn sessions with my clients is to find family heirloom pieces to add to our session..While my studio is full of gorgeous antiques, quilts, blankets, rugs of all different color… this makes a great personal statement and is sure to bring a smile to your face every time you see the item in your home. The older the better… if its something baby can fit in or on.. even cooler.. a quit, awesome old bowl.. the possibilities are endless.
Of course I have more awesome props and things than I could ever use at our disposal during the session and I am continually growing my collection… so you don’t HAVE to bring anything along.. but while we are waiting for baby to come take a look around the house or ask grandma..
xoxo,
Sarah
I LOVE this quilt made by little Fiona’s great, great grandma in the 1970’s so retro and so fun!
Awesome vintage dough bowl that has been in the family for generations
Daddy’s fireman helmet.. ok this one isn’t old but personal, meaningful…
not a newborn but Grandpa worked for Portland Bottling company and mom brought this in for the session.. I love it.. (ok I actually went out and found the same one just to have as a prop in studio I loved it so much)
