It’s been three busy days of family fun. I’m feeling pretty beat… possibly just a sugar coma But I thought I would share a few favorites from the weekend as well as a recipe (at the bottom of post so people who don’t want/need it don’t have to read through it to get to the pics) for what I always call “Dutch Babies” but I think might be German Pancakes or like the recipe calls them “puffy oven pancakes”. Whatever they are they are quick and easy and a kids favorite.
I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Dutch Babies/Puffy Oven Pancakes/German Pancakes….. This recipe makes 2 pie pans of pancakes enough to feed my family of 6 with some left over.
4 tablespoons of butter
4 Large Eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
pinch of salt
1 lemon
Powdered Sugar for topping
(also try with any kind of fruit, cinnamon, jelly, syrup…etc)
Oven 400
25-30 min
Turn oven on to 400. Place 2 TBS of butter in each (2) pie plates. Place in oven to melt while you work on the rest
Beat eggs, flour, milk, salt until combined (don’t over mix)
take pie plates out and spread butter around
pour half of the mixture into each plate
bake 25-30 min
top with powdered sugar and fresh lemon (my kids also add some hone)
